Abstract

This paper purposes to examine the relationship between energy consumption and economic growth in OECD countries during the period of 1980–2010. The panel data methods are used to analyse the causal relationship between energy and growth. It is important to see observe the ways of causality between energy consumption and economic growth for the policy-makers. The research outcomes reveal that there is significant correlation between energy consumption and economic growth in OECD countries.
