Abstract

Just as it has in many other fields, the demands of prudent energy management have required a reevaluation of interior lighting design and practices. This paper describes some of the more important results of a two year study for the General Services Administration and the Federal Energy Administration to provide the rationale for optimizing lighting systems, particularly for office space, that are energy conserving without compromising worker performance or comfort.
