Abstract
With the aid of a computer, the energy relations are calulated between an external force and the displacement of particles during twinning with simple shear in a model of a defective rhombic polymer crystal. The energy barriers to the displacement of particles are determined for two modes of motion: rectilinear and through saddle points in the force field, at various values of the Mie-potential parameter n.
