Abstract

Angle-resolved photoemission measurements have been performed on the (100) face of ZrC 0.92 . Energy distribution curves were recorded along both the and the azimuthal directions using unpolarised resonance radiation (He I, Ne I and Ar I). The experimental peak dispersions are compared with the results from calculated spectra for ZrC 1.0 , using the full calculated band structure, and the initial state dispersions obtained using free-electron final state bands. The experimental results are found to be in good agreement with the theoretically predicted bulk band dispersions.
