Abstract

Among all the non-conventional sources of energy solar energy is the most adaptable source because of its nature of all pervasiveness and costless. Solar power tower technology is considered to be the best technology for industrial scale because of its high efficiency and significant scope f improvement. In the literature review it is found that due the popularity of the solar power tower technology lot research paper giving enormous contribution in t advancement of this technology have been published.In the proposed work a mathematical model of the heliostat based solar thermal power plant considering the unsteai variations of solar energy has been developed involving t various laws of thermodynamics and heat transfer. T execution of the model has been done on the Microsoft Ex(2014 and the results have been derived in the graphical form well as tabular form. An attempt has also been made validate the results obtained by simulation with the results performance of DAHAN solar power tower plant situated Beijing China available in the literature. It is concluded th the energy and exergy analysis for the performance of sol power tower plant may be used to predict the performance other such plants.
