Abstract

The lifetime matrix formalism has been applied to calculate the dissociation energies and the corresponding line widths of the rotationally quasibound levels supported by the ground level state of the HD+ ion. In particular, dissociation energies of the 18 quasibound levels which have proved inaccessible in recent non-adiabatic calculations (R. E. Moss, 1993, Molec. Phys., 78, 371) are reported.
