Abstract
SYNOPSIS An attempt to assess the energetic feasibility of family size biogas plants has been made. The standard technique of process analysis has been used to determine the energy yield ratio of the three popular designs of biogas plants in India. The effects of size and retention time on energy yield ratio have also been studied.
