Abstract

The present study, deals with a novel combined ORC-VCC system. In fact, the main purpose of this study is to analyze the performance of the proposed cycle, which combines Rankine-vapor compression cycle for the cogeneration of electricity and refrigeration. This system uses a low-temperature heat sources such as solar energy, industrial waste heat and biomass. Particular attention is paid to the effect of parameters system, including the evaporation temperature, the mass flow, the temperature and the pressure of the heating source on system performances, such as refrigeration capacity efficiency Thermal and the COP.
