Abstract

In our search for peace, are we looking in the wrong direction? Do we pursue the goal of peace with an erroneous fundamental belief that we are against having enemies? Is our deepest fear the loss of our enemies and do we use leadership as a means to allay that fear? The answer to these questions is, I posit, an emphatic YES! If we were to lose our enemies we would lose what they provide: our peace, security, and freedom. Ultimately, what relevance does this have to our efforts in finding lasting peace?
