Abstract

Endovascular therapy for acute aortic syndromes has become a common procedure in many centers. In some cases the femoral artery is not suitable for endovascular device delivery (aortoiliac occlusive disease). We present a 76-year-old female with ruptured supraceliac penetrating aortic ulcer (PAU) and severe aortoiliac occlusive disease treated with prior axillobifemoral bypass. The patient underwent successful endovascular treatment with an aortic stent graft introduced through the right common carotid artery.
