Abstract

An 80 year old man presented with a 41 mm abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), a 35 mm right common iliac artery aneurysm, and also right crossed inferior non-fused renal ectopia resulting from disrupted embryonic kidney migration and impaired ureteric bud migration to the opposite side. The left upper renal artery (red arrow) for left kidney (red arrowheads) stemmed from the usual aortic level (L1/L2) and the left lower renal artery (blue arrow) for the ectopic kidney (blue arrowheads) arose from the AAA sac (A). The aneurysms were repaired using a custom made branched tube graft to the lower renal artery and a right iliac branched graft (Cook Aortic Intervention, Bloomington, IN, USA) (B).
