Abstract

Introduction: Performing complex skull base surgery has evolved into a specialty of its own. One of the greatest achievements has been the development of newer and better technologies to treat difficult cases. Nonetheless, many of these technologies are not always readily available in developing countries. Even so, fully endoscopic endonasal surgery (fEES) is being used more often every day regardless of these limitations. The purpose of this study was to retrospectively evaluate the experience at a single institution to determine the feasibility of performing fEES without access to the full spectrum of technologies currently available commercially but with comparable outcomes.
