Abstract
Transcervical resection of the endometrium using a standard urological resectoscope, has recently been described as a treatment for menorrhagia when medical management proves unsatisfactory but the patient does not want to undergo hysterectomy. These considerations led us to assess the technique in four women with abnormal menstruation whose pre-existing medical conditions meant that hysterectomy was either technically or medically contra-indicated
