Abstract

A 23-year-old woman presented to our hospital with a 5-month history of irregular vaginal bleeding. She was not sexually active and had no medical problems. The blood laboratory values showed the hemoglobin level to be 5.6 g/dL and white blood cell count to be 5600/mm3, with 70% granulocytes. The coagulation and liver function tests were normal. Ultrasound examination revealed a significantly abnormal uterus.
