Abstract

Knowledge of the internal anatomy and anatomic variation of root canal system is vital for the success of the root canal treatment. Any missed canal contributes to the failure of root canal treatment in a short duration. Permanent maxillary first molar has been studied extensively due to high variation in internal anatomy and still pose a challenge to many clinicians. The following case report describes the management of maxillary first molar with two palatal canals.
