Abstract
Endless phase shifters (EPS) are used in space diversity combining networks of digital microwave communication systems. This paper presents detailed analysis of branch-line hybrid coupler, using ABCD matrix, which is a basic block for EPS. Design and development of mixers and control circuits required for the EPS are described. A prototype phase shifter developed in the frequency band 7.425 to 7.725 GHz is also described.
