Abstract

In two community hospitals in Saginaw, Michigan, the over-all 5 year survival rate for carcinoma of the ovary is 24 per cent; for carcinoma of the corpus uteri 58 per cent; and for cervical carcinoma 44 per cent. These figures represent a rather respectable final result for treatment of these malignancies in our local community hospitals and we feel justified continuing gynecologic cancer therapy on a local level.
