Abstract

A Frequently overlooked aspect of the definition of curves and surfaces by a B-spline representation is the specification of end and boundary condition techniques. In addition to the necessity of explaining the various techniques, it is also very important that their corresponding properties be investigated. Different techniques have various geometric properties which require careful study to enable the selection of an appropriate approach. Such end boundary conditions are explained and classified, and their geometric properties analyzed.
