Abstract
Shortly before Christmas, TI Group announced its intention to buy the Sealol Industrial Division of EG&G for $100 million. Sealol, based in Rhode Island USA, has been a leader in sealing technology for many years, but its Irish wing, operating in the Shannon Freeport zone, has frequently been hailed as something quite special. Routinely described as modern, innovative and awards-laden, it sounded like somebody was doing it right. World Pumps set off for the south west of Ireland, curious to see just what TI Group is getting for its money.
