Abstract
An enantioselective synthesis of cyclohexene nitroaldehydes 2e–5e has been effected, via Diels-Alder reaction with sugar nitroolefins as chiral dienophiles. Absolute configuration of products has been determined by X-ray crystallographic analysis and chemical correlation.
