Abstract
The cross-coupling of some electrophiles with Grignard reagents catalyzed by nickel complexes of ( R, R)-cyclopentane-1,2-diylbis(diphenylphosphine) or the previously unknown enantiomerically pure trans-cyclopentane-1,2-diylbis(di- p-methoxyphenylphosphine) is described. In all reactions investigated the unsubstituted ligand gives better optical yields (up to 55%) than the substituted one.
