Abstract
Gold wirkt anziehend: Hoch enantioselektive katalytische Tandem-Acetalisierungen-Cycloisomerisierungen von o-Alkinylbenzaldehyden gelingen mithilfe von Goldkomplexen chiraler acyclischer Diaminocarbenliganden mit elektronenarmen Arylsubstituenten. Röntgenkristallographie und Dichtefunktionalrechnungen deuten darauf hin, dass schwache Gold-Aren-Wechselwirkungen, die mit schlichten Phenylsubstituenten ausbleiben, die Chiralität der Substratbindestelle definieren.
