Abstract
Meningioma is one of the most common intradural spinal tumors. Its extradural location accounts for only 2.7% to 10% of all spinal meningiomas and the en-plaque variety is all the more rare with only a few reported cases. A 40-year-old woman presented with a history of pain along the inner border of her right upper limb and tightness in both lower limbs. Examination revealed right grip weakness and hypertonicity of both lower limbs. Magnetic resonance imaging of the spine showed an extradural spinal mass from the C6 to D2 vertebral level exiting through the D1 intervertebral foramina. She underwent grade III excision of the tumor. Histopathologic examination confirmed it to be a meningioma. Postoperatively, the patient had good neurological recovery.
