Abstract
El ensayo se propone interpretar algunos momentos del pensamiento de Maquiavelo a la luz de la filosofía de Benjamin. El tema del origen de la politica constituye el hilo rojo de la argumentación. Origen inmanente al devenir de la historia, que es inicio absoluto de una epoca, que no está separada por el tiempo, como un punto remoto e identificable, como una causa primera capaz de determinar el recorrido sucesivo. Origen que tiene que ver con la idea de la política absoluta, con la idea del conflicto y de la libertad de la política, que el ensayo despliega hasta su punto de catástrofe, en cuyo vórtice todo orden se arruina. Se hace un guiño final a los fragmentos mesiánicos diseminados en la obra de Maquiavelo, a su idea de redención.
