Abstract

Background: Blastomere handling for PGD is a critical step in the process. Current procedures employed in preimplantation genetic testing programs involve the immediate fixation or transfer of single cells (blastomeres, polar bodies). In this work we showed that using empty zona pellucida as a storage container can expand possibilities of handling the single cells in preimplantation genetic testing.
