Abstract

Women Farmers Group “TANI AYU” is a forum for women in Sembuh Kidul Hamlet which provides access and opportunities to increase the knowledge and skills of women in Sembuh Kidul Hamlet. The Women Farmers Group “TANI AYU” is one of the activities in order to participate in development in an effort to empower women in agriculture by utilizing land and processing post-harvest produce into a product or sale, which is expected to boost the economy. This study aims to describe the empowerment of women carried out by the Women Farmers Group “TANI AYU” in an effort to provide resources, opportunities, and knowledge and improve the skills of women. This study used a descriptive qualitative method. The subjects of this study were the administrators, members of KWT TANI AYU and the Head of Sembuh Kidul Hamlet. Data collection was carried out by observation, interview and documentation methods. Data analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results of the study show that empowering the Women Farmer Group “TANI AYU” is able to provide increased knowledge for Women Farmer Group management and members regarding Organizational Management, basic Marketing Management and skills in processing aloe vera into various kinds of processed food and beverages.
