Abstract

Objective: The objective of this research is to analyze the existing legal frameworks governing the responsibilities of youth and propose effective solutions aimed at enhancing their social responsibilities within the current socio-legal landscape. Through a comprehensive investigation involving questionnaire surveys and in-depth interviews with officials engaged in youth affairs, this study seeks to evaluate the feasibility of various solution groups and identify strategies for fostering greater youth engagement and contribution to society. Theoretical framework: This research utilizes legal studies and social responsibility theories to understand the interplay between legal regulations, social norms and individual agency in shaping youth responsibilities and societal engagement. Method: this research uses a mixed-method approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methods. It uses questionnaire surveys and in-depth interviews to gather data on youth responsibilities and proposed solutions. Thematic analysis is employed to identify trends and patterns. The findings are analyzed using triangulation, ensuring validity and reliability. The research provides a nuanced understanding of youth responsibilities and proposed solutions. Results and conclusion: the research shows that all solution groups for enhancing youth social responsibility are feasible, with training and fostering being the most effective. Legal and policy interventions also contribute to youth responsibility. A comprehensive approach involving educational, social, and legal mechanisms is essential for maximizing effectiveness. Implication of the research: the research provides insights into policy interventions enhancing youth social responsibilities, which can be used to develop targeted policies, enhance educational programs, promote community engagement, propose legal reforms, and encourage stakeholder collaboration. It emphasizes the importance of addressing gaps in existing legal frameworks and fostering parterships among stakeholders to create an enabling environment for youth engagement. Originality/value: this research explores youth social responsibilities, integrating legal, social, and educational perspectives. Using a mixed-methods approach, it provides a comprehensive understanding of youth engagement and accountability. The findings have practical implications for policymakers and educators and are contextually relevant to specific provinces/cities.
