Abstract

This study examines the transformation of the usual mechanisms of management in the digital environment. Such a transformation of economic reality inevitably has social and economic consequences, directly affecting the issue of employment of the population, which determines the object of research – the labor market in the transition to a digital business environment. The subject of the study is the problem of employment in Russia, formed as an employment strategy in response to changing factors and conditions of management in the digital economy. The purpose of the study is to identify the problems and a meaningful description of strategic actions to eliminate problem areas. The hypothesis of the study is that the digitalization of the business environment is not a natural state of the current economic formation, which inevitably leads to contradictions of a social and economic nature - employment of the population. Research objectives: 1. Study of international and domestic results of scientific research in the subject area; 2. Collection and processing of statistical data; 3. The use of scientific methods of cognition to identify problem areas; 4. Formulation of scientifically based conclusions. The methodology of the research is an economic and statistical approach based on generally recognized methods of scientific cognition of economic reality. Research results: 1. Statistically processed data are presented in two separate areas: digitalization of the economy; economy and balance of labor resources; 2. Problem areas are identified using methods of mathematical statistics; 3. Countermeasures are proposed to eliminate the identified problems in the subject area.
