Abstract

The study aimed to examine the employment of public relations in making people aware about woman’s rights. in public relations programmes at In Ministry of Labor and Social Developmentto create enlightened public opinion familiar with women’s rights and role in the society. The study has traced women’s full right since the dawn of Islam compared with the current status of the Muslim women. The researcher has employed descriptive analytical method. For data collection, observation, interviews, questionnaire. The sample population consists of Ministry of Labor and Social Development, some samples from women citizens of Khartoum State,. The study has arrived at a number of main conclusions. To sum up, there is a lack of media programmes about woman’s status in rural areas and that the existing programmes are only devoted to urban women. Moreover, public relations programmes at woman organizations can contribute in resolving problems encountered by the Sudanese woman by tackling their problems and enlightening the community about their rights.
