Abstract

The outbreak of the coronavirus results on the closure of many offices, especially in Indonesia. At the same time, this condition also forces the companies to develop employees' capabilities in e-learning in order to improve their working quality. Training department of a company that is in charge of developing employees' capabilities gets an impact that it must switch the training delivery and that e-learning training is considered as suitable one. This study aimed to explore employees' perceptions toward the implementation of e-learning culture training program. The data were gathered through a set of questionnaires to get their perceptions, challenges and benefits. The results were analyzed quantitatively. The participants were 70 employees from a company in Jakarta who joined the culture training programs through e-learning. In this training, they were required to participate actively, build communication with the instructor and among participants and understand the training content. The training activities included online discussion, discussing the video, written materials, virtual journey and variety of cases. The result of the data analysis presented some issues regarding how employees perceived the implementation of e-learning culture training, the challenges and benefits of e-learning training program. This study also provides an advantage that it increases the company and employees' awareness regarding the knowledgeable in e-learning that is crucial nowadays.
