Abstract
The small business sector is central to the economic prosperity of the Australian and other national economies (Storey and Greene, 2010). In these economies, the small business sector plays an important role in generating employment, makes a significant contribution to the gross domestic product, and provides a broad array of products and services (Barrett and Mayson, 2005; Storey and Greene, 2010). Accordingly, the economic performance of the small business sector has a significant impact on national economic health.
