Abstract

This study examined the influence of job security on the organisational performance in a multi-ethnic environment. As a result, a cross-sectional research design was conducted with questionnaire data generated from 155 employees of three different banks from both East and Peninsular Malaysia through a simple random sampling technique. The questionnaires were distributed through drop-off and pick procedure and the data was analysed using the SMARTPLS analysis technique. Overall, the result shows that the employees’ job security in a multi-ethnic environment significantly influences organisational performance. The finding has a practical implication for both employees and the organisations in the way organisations use employees job security as a way of enhancing or maintaining organisational performance. It contributes by providing a unique insight about employee’s job security in a multi-ethnic environment.
