Abstract
The modern environment is rapidly changing. Decision-making in an organization significantly depends on the effectiveness of personnel management. It influences a lot on employee development as one of the milestones of the organization development. The aim is to study the modern features of the external environment of the organization and its impact on the employee development. A literature review based on analysis, synthesis, comparison was chosen as a method. The environment changes from VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity) to BANI (brittle, anxious, nonlinear, and incomprehenwsible) world. BANI world sets completely new needs for the application of digital technologies. Modern decision-making systems for personnel management are based on a complex of digital solutions that actively use advanced information technologies. Skills like remote team management, digital tools skills, leadership and decision-making during a crisis should be presented in the training programs of organizations. The research results shew that the features of BANI world should be taken into account in the development of the organization's personnel. Organizations, faced with the challenges of BANI world, are forced to make decisions in a situation of uncertainty, and digital tools that respond to the challenges of BANI world are offered to make informed decisions on the employee development. Our results allow companies to design employee development programs based on BANI world characteristics. The use of digital technologies in employee development programs allow to receive specialists with the necessary qualifications faster and at lower costs.
