Abstract

Cucciare, Weingardt, and Villafranca (2008) provide a review of the training literature and discuss the benefits of blended learning. Their discussion highlights the complex nature of training empirically supported treatments and identifies a number of decisions to be made when devising training approaches. In this way, their review emphasizes the how of training: how does an instructor teach treatment providers to optimize learning? The current commentary extends this discussion by describing the who and what of training to discuss what training components might be most useful for which potential clinicians.
