Summary

Introduction

Background Public sector organizations expect their employees to effectively communicate and convey information, to interpret others’ emotions, to be open to others’ feelings, to solve conflicts and arrive at resolutions. By acquiring these skills, the employees and those in management positions can lead others to improve their efficiency and thereby to enhance the productivity of human capital. Controlling emotions is essential for good decision-making and to preserve harmony around us. We admire people who have the ability to control their emotions when they face pressure, arguments and aggression. We enjoy being with people who can express empathy, compassion, cooperation and forgiveness
