Abstract

In this paper, the Weibull failure model is studied from an Empirical Bayes point of view. It is assumed tbat the shape parameter is known, and that the scale parameter behaves as a stochastic variable. Lower and upper Empirical Bayes confidence bounds are proposed for the random scale parameter and lower confidence bounds for the reliability function.
