Abstract

King First Master's degree in Popular Culture from the Center for the Study of Popular Culture, and the Ph.D. in American Studies from the University of Hawaii; the dissertation is a study of the Davy Crockett craze of 1955. Other work in Popular Culture includes cross-cultural study at the East-West Center; research with Prof. Reuel Denney; and currently, editorship of a collection of original essays on the cultural impact of Disney film, and a book on theme parks.
