Abstract
Diabetic foot is a highly complex and severe complication of diabetes, posing significant challenges in treatment and imposing substantial medical costs. Wound healing stands as the primary concern for both healthcare professionals and patients in the management of diabetic foot. Individuals with severe diabetic foot often suffer from multiple organ failure and acute lesions. The comprehensive medical management plays a vital role in limb preservation and prolong survival. Drawing upon the team's practical experience and cutting-edge advancements, this article aims to summarize the common medical complications(cardiovascular disease, kidney disease, severe infections, malnutrition) and treatment experience of patients with severe diabetic foot. The ultimate goal is to enhance clinicians' ability of comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for diabetic foot.
