Abstract

Abstract Emotions are by far crucial in the education field, as their impact almost rivals that of the environment or the language being in use to transmit the information. In fact, they have an essential role in cognitive processes responsible for learning and assimilating new information. Unfortunately, students’ emotions are not always kept in check by teachers, either by lack of discipline or simply the inhuman inability to keep track of all students’ hidden indicators of their internal emotions, thus, making it delicate to adapt and keep the communication channel intact. This article presents the value brought by emotional recognition for both students and teachers, then, the different phases of facial recognition, afterward, we propose the education approaches that integrate different types of facial recognition techniques, global, local and hybrid.
