Abstract

The present study examines the phenomenon of storytelling in modern English and Slovak media discourse. The aim of the analysis is to cast some light on linguistic means utilized to convey emotions. The main findings present similarities and differences of the lexicalization of emotions in American and Slovak TV shows. The results complementarily indicate a plethora of future investigations in this sphere.
