Abstract

This study examined the goals of emotion-regulation in people with high levels of trait anxiety using the Stimulus Selection Task and self-report scales. People with high trait anxiety were more likely to choose to increase their levels of anxiety than those with low trait anxiety, across demanding and undemanding situations.
