Abstract

An IKS-12 medium-resolution spectrometer and quartz cell were used to study the dependence of the emissivity of CO2 molecules in the neighborhood of the fundamental ν3 vibration for 300 ≤ Т ≤ 1200°K, 100 ≤ Р ≤ 750 mm Hg, and 0.18 PCO2l ≤ 4 atm-cm. The experimental data are compared with results computed on the basis of schematized absorption band models. It is shown that with a proper choice of parameters (mean integral line intensity, line half-widths, and distances between lines), all of the models considered yield sufficiently good agreement with experimental curves.
