Abstract

From the existing ab initio dipole surface of H2–He collisional complexes we calculate the collision-induced emission spectra of D2–He pairs for all possible rotovibrational transitions |vJ〉→|v′J′〉, with v and v′=0,…,20, for frequencies from 100 to 100 000 cm−1 and temperatures from 2000 to 20 000 K. The results are compared to the H2–He spectra calculated previously [D. Hammer, L. Frommhold, and W. Meyer, J. Chem. Phys. 111, 6283 (1999)] and isotope effects are investigated. While the general features of the spectra are similar, for D2–He the peak of the spectrum is shifted to lower frequencies and the intensities are smaller.
