Abstract
Power switching converters are sources of electromagnetic interference (EMI) due to the high voltage and current transients. In this paper, the single-switch forward converter topology is modified to achieve symmetric topology. EMI models of regular and symmetric forward converters are extracted taking into account the main parasitic of components and printed circuit tracks. Finally, accuracy of the predicted EMI is verified by the measured EMI for two converters.
