Abstract

Research indicates that many hospitals are developing computer systems that allow patients to access digital health information. However, only 60% of Americans regularly use the Internet, and only veteran Internet users will likely be able to navigate to obtain health information successfully. There may be a divide between healthcare provider expectations and patients’ ability to access electronic health information.
