Abstract
Severe mitral stenosis has distinctive pulmonary hemodynamics, such as redistribution of blood flow caused by vasoconstriction of pulmonary artery in lower lobes. This characteristic might be related to refractory pneumonia. A 34-year-old woman who had been received mitral valve replacement (MVR) with bio-prosthetic valve in 9 years ago was hospitalized for exertional dyspnea after 3 times of childbearing. Echocardiography revealed significant calcification and severe restriction of bio-prosthetic valve.
