Abstract

Poisoning is a disorder of the body's vital functions resulting from the ingestion of poison or toxin, as well as the action that caused such a disease (for example, murder or suicide by means of poison). First aid to victims of poisoning should be provided as soon as possible, since in acute poisoning, a very rapid impairment of breathing, blood circulation, and heartbeat is possible. Timely first aid often prevents the possibility of death.
