Abstract

Clinical case of a 39-year-old woman diagnosed with acquired trichorrhexis nodosa (TN), a condition of the hair characterized by irregular nodular formations along the hair shaft, leading to fragility and breakage. The case is notable for its association with pregnancy, expanding the understanding of TN's etiology beyond the traditionally recognized chemical and physical causes. The study emphasizes the psychosocial impact of hair shaft abnormalities and the importance of accurate diagnosis and compassionate patient care.
