Abstract

In article number 2003535, Rongrong Zhu and co-workers report the role of MgFe-LDH nanoparticles as a promising LIF replacement in maintaining mESCs self-renewal and pluripotency. Combined transcriptomic and proteomic analysis reveals that MgFe-LDH could activate LIFR regulating signaling pathways, while the extra Fe2+ provided by MgFe-LDH also enhances TET1/2 abundance related to DNA demethylation. This biocompatible MgFe-LDH nanoparticle favors economical and efficient replacement for LIF in large-scale expansion of ESCs.
