The teaching of the metalwork course requires constant change and renewal in the search for a solution to educational problems. The current study answers important questions: To what extent does the method and skills of manual embroidery fit into the metal? What is the extent of the possibility of benefiting from the skills and techniques of embroidery and their application in joining the metal parts in the crafts? How voluntary is the metal wire to implement some manual embroidery stitches on the metal surface? And to what extent can the aesthetic and diversity values be achieved in the appearance of the wrought metal on which the manual embroidery technique is applied? The study aims to reveal the technical, cosmetic and aesthetic capabilities that can be achieved by taking advantage of the decorative patterns of manual embroidery stitches and applying them to enrich the metal surface, as well as studying the possibility of applying some manual embroidery stitches using the wire on the metal surface to connect the parts of the metal or its surface decoration. The study has assumed that embroidery stitches can be employed with their variety of formalities in enriching the surface of the metal and in joining its parts. It is also possible to take advantage of the flexibility and willingness of metallic wires to apply manual embroidery stitches on the metal flat to enrich it aesthetically. The experiment here was limited to some exploratory experiments to test the extent of the assumptions, then conducting a self-experiment for the researcher with the aim of revealing the actual possibility of applying some embroidery stitches on the metal and arriving at experimental starting points that contribute to the enrichment of metal artifacts and jewelry.
